The Mendocino Complex fire in California, caused so many people to lose everything. And the hardships that followed, that still exist for those people today, continue to make life difficult. Not much will survive an intense multi-hour fire that burns a dwelling to the ground. Our goal is resisting fire as long as possible. So we tested the most Insulated and non-flammable materials, finding out 4 kinds of fiberglass and similar materials.
EFFORTS FOR PREVENT CARBONIZING
As the temperature rises, even if paper documents don't get fired, they will be carbonized into fragile "potato chips". To effectively isolate the temperature, we use insulating cotton and aluminum foil, which are arranged alternately with fireproof materials to stand in fires.
